ODM Development

From your idea → 3D Design → Mold Making → Mass Production
We have 20 years of experience in plastic product structure design & mold engineering.
Send us your concept, we turn it into finished pet goods with our reliable Ningbo injection molding partner factory.
We support custom mold development, sample making, trial production and mass orders.

ODM Development for Pet Products: From Idea to Mass Production

This page shows what we do, how the process runs, and what you receive at each step. If you would rather buy a product that already exists, see our ready-made pet products — those are in production and available for wholesale orders.

What you receive, before any steel is cut

Every item below is produced by our engineering team before tooling starts — so you can check the product, the cost and the risks while changes are still inexpensive.

Design Drawings2D drawings and a 3D model: tolerances, exploded view, assembly sequence and part material list
Product Analysis (DFM)Wall thickness, draft angle, parting line, gate location, assembly and failure points reviewed
Product Cost AnalysisLine-by-line cost build-up — material, cycle time, labour, packaging — at different order quantities
Mould DrawingsCavity layout, runner and gate, cooling, ejection and sliders — completed before steel is cut
Mould Cost AnalysisSteel selection, cavitation trade-offs, hot runner, tooling lead time and mould ownership

See our What We Deliver page for the same five items with more detail on why each one matters.

How it works

  1. Send your idea. A sketch on paper, a photo of an existing product, or a 3D file — any of these is enough to start. NDA available on request.
  2. We confirm the scope. Before any work begins we confirm in writing what you need, what we will deliver and what it costs.
  3. Design and DFM review. You receive the design drawings, the manufacturability analysis and the cost build-up. This is the stage where changes are still inexpensive.
  4. Mould design and tooling. Mould drawings and tooling cost are signed off before the steel is cut. Tooling is made at our partner factory, and the mould drawings are part of what you receive.
  5. Samples, then mass production. Trial samples for your approval, then mass orders, inspection on every order and full export documents.

Two things we will always put in writing

1. Mould ownership. Who owns the tool, and what happens to it if you move production, is agreed in writing before tooling starts.

2. Certifications. Before you place an order we confirm in writing which certifications the assigned factory holds, and which product tests we will arrange for your market.

Questions buyers ask us first

Who owns the mould? Tooling ownership is agreed in writing before we start, including what happens if you later move production.

What do you need from me to start? A sketch, a photo or a 3D file, plus your target market and a rough order quantity. A technical drawing is not required for the first review.

Do you make the products yourselves? We design and engineer the product and the tooling in house. Production runs at our injection moulding partner factory in Ningbo, with our own inspection on every order.

Capability showcase: product design and mould engineering

All images below come from our own engineering work — product structure design, DFM checks, runner and cooling design, and the mould 3D assembly drawings the tooling is built from.
